Teen Maze is a life-size health fair for middle school youth in the region. It is designed to be informative, nonjudgmental, and interactive while showcasing possible outcomes of risky versus healthy behaviors. The youth navigate through the maze of rooms on various topics such as safe teen driving, mental health, healthy lifestyles, positive choices, sexual health and parenting, career choices, self-esteem, acceptance of diversity and other positive activities. At the end of the Maze, the youth exit through a debriefing room meant to help them process the experience and give them a positive outlook for their futures. School Community Youth Collaborative (SCYC) offers this event once a year, with up to nine different schools attending.
