Who We Are
The mission of Montezuma Land Conservancy (MLC) is changing lives through land conservation by connecting people to place, forever. We envision a landscape where sufficient habitat supports a healthy ecosystem, lands remain a cornerstone of local life and economy, and people across our communities enjoy the benefits of conservation and connection to the land. MLC was founded in 1998 by a group of local passionate locals who saw the need to protect the incredible landscapes that give Southwest Colorado our unique character.
What We Do
Montezuma Land Conservancy works to protect important landscapes in Montezuma, Dolores, and San Miguel Counties in Southwest Colorado. Through our educational and cross-cultural programs, we also work to engage our community in our mission and bring the benefits of land conservation to as many people as possible.
